CHURCH OF CHRIST THE KING
Gordon square (Byng place entrance), LONDON WC1H 0AG
SUNDAY SERVICES 10.30am 5pm
WEDNESDAY midweek GROUPS 7.30pm-9PM
What to expect
A lovely mix of new students, postgrads, workers, families and local people. There is some singing, a children's bible story, a 20-30 minute sermon from the Bible and prayers led from the front. With a crèche and Sunday Club for the children, run by trained volunteers. The service lasts for about 70 minutes. Drinks and cakes afterwards, and picnics in the park during summer!
A young, friendly crowd of mainly students and younger workers. More contemporary singing, a 20-30 minute sermon from the bible (often with a chance to ask questions to the speaker), and prayers led from the front. The service lasts for about 80 minutes. Food and drinks afterwards, and there are often extra seminars and training sessions after church on a range of relevant topics.
Midweek groups are the main way we build deep friendships and grow together spiritually. The groups are full of friendship and fun, with plenty of time to catch up and pray as well as listening to God's word together. Once a month we have an all together church prayer night instead of a Bible study. Come early to hang out and meet new people. Food from 7pm, groups from 7.30pm, finished by 9pm.
Despite being very centrally located, parking for main services at Christ the King is easy and free so long as your vehicle is not affected by the ULEZ*.
